UN: Poverty Levels In Afghanistan Are Rising

The United Nations has warned of economic aid as poverty levels rise in Afghanistan, where millions of children and women are living in poverty.

The head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Afghanistan has addressed the issue in a message, calling for more assistance to those in need.

Currently, the number of poor people in many cities of Afghanistan has increased due to unemployment and difficult economic situation.

Subhanullah Nangarhar province resident says: people dont have food to eat, no one can find a job to we really need help.

Meanwhile, due to the current economic crisis in Afghanistan, heavy rains and floods in about 20 provinces have caused severe human and financial losses.
