Central Bank: Restrictions On Salary Withdrawals From Banks Has Ended
"After this salary, all commercial banks must pay government and non-government employees without delay," Saber Momand said.
The central bank says restrictions on the payment of government and non-government employees 'salaries have been lifted, and all banks will pay their employees' salaries at their request without delay.
Saber Momand, a spokesman for the bank, said the aim was to make it easier for the country's citizens. "After this salary, all commercial banks must pay government and non-government employees without delay," he said.
Meanwhile, a number of Kabul residents say restrictions on people's bank accounts should be lifted altogether to build more trust in banks.
Traders also face the problem of withdrawing money from banks, saying that in order for their business to prosper, these restrictions must be lifted. "There is room for more regular banking activity for the private sector, especially in international trade, where traders today cannot export their goods or import goods from another country," said Mahboubullah Mohammadi, a businessman.
