Herat Farmers Criticize Saffron Price Reduction

According to the Herat Department of Agriculture, saffron cultivation has increased in the province this year.

Although Afghan saffron has been named the world's best saffron for the fourth time, saffron growers in Herat are disappointed with the drop in the price of this industrial plant.

According to these saffron growers, the current price of a kilogram of saffron in the domestic market is about 40,000 afghanis; While in previous years the price of each kilogram of saffron was more than one hundred thousand Afghanis.
