Russia will resume sending liquefied natural gas to Afghanistan, which was suspended in 2020 due to the corona outbreak.

Reuters reports that the move by Moscow comes at a time when Russia has been barred from its traditional energy exports to the West following its invasion of Ukraine.

Russia's liquefied natural gas exports to Afghanistan were reportedly halted in mid-2020 due to limited corona outbreaks and low benefits.

Russia is scheduled to export more than 10,500 tons of liquefied natural gas to Afghanistan this March.
