Taliban Urges Uzbekistan To Agree On "railway Project"

The Ministry of Interior is responsible for securing the project and the railway technical teams.

In a virtual meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Uzbekistan, Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaqi discussed the "finalization of the railway plan" between the two countries.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi wrote on his Twitter page that in the conversation, Kabul and Tashkent emphasized the development of trade, transit and the Mazar-Kabul-Peshawar railway.

Bakht-ur-Rehman Sharafat, head of Afghanistan Railways, says the Trans-Afghanistan Railway Survey will begin in another month. "The technical teams of the survey are expected to start their work this month, and they are currently discussing this with all departments," Bakht-ur-Rehman Sharafat said.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Economy says that with the start of work on the Afghan Trans-Afghan Railway, jobs will be created for the citizens of the country in several provinces.
