Kabul Municipality officials have called attention to Kabul air pollution, which is bound to greatly increase during the winter season as the residents mostly use cheap coal, plastic, and other harmful sources of heat.

“We have started our efforts, we already warned building owners to use filters. Teams of Kabul municipality are monitoring every day," said the head of the media department in Kabul municipality, Nematullah Barekzai.

“We ask Kabul municipality to work to form a plan that can prevent air pollution in Kabul. There should be an alternative for using coal,"said Zabiullah, a Kabul resident.
Meanwhile, health staff warned that polluted air is highly harmful for the health of people. “The pollution is so dangerous for the health of people, especially for children and old people,” said a doctor named Hasibullah.
