Germany Added € 600 Million To Afghanistan's Aid Budget
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it will provide more than € 600 million more to Afghanistan to increase humanitarian aid to the Afghan people and to fund international aid organizations.
A statement from the German Foreign Ministry, issued on Thursday, the 13th of Scorpio, said that the situation in Afghanistan had deteriorated in the past and was now deteriorating. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has emphasized that it will provide more assistance to the people of Afghanistan.
According to the German Foreign Ministry, more than half of the Afghan population is currently at risk of starvation and another 5.5 million are displaced inside the country.
With this money, aid organizations can distribute immediate and effective aid to millions of needy people across Afghanistan, the German Foreign Ministry said.
"Our partners assure that this aid is used only for humanitarian purposes and is not in the interest of the Taliban.
The German government has announced an increase in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, which in September this year also provided about € 250 million to the people of Afghanistan.
