50% Of Factories Have Stopped Operating Due To Lack Of Market.
Lack of electricity in manufacturing plants is another challenge that has faced more challenges for businesses than factories.
The country's Chamber of Industries and Mines says that due to a lack of raw materials and banking challenges, the activities of nearly 50 percent of the country's manufacturing plants have been shut down.
"Due to the lack of a market, banking restrictions and electricity problems, 40 to 50 percent of production activities have been suspended," said Mohammad Karim Azimi, executive director of the Kabul Chamber of Industries and Mines.
Meanwhile, the head of one of the construction materials factories says that more than eighty people who worked here have lost their jobs due to the cessation of the factory's activities.
According to the Afghan Industrialists Union, more than 4,000 factories in the country need government support and cooperation so that they can increase their production and play an important role in the growth of domestic production.
