ACCI: Trades With Central Asia Has Increased But Decreased With Pakistan
The latest figures from the Afghanistan-Pakistan business room shows that Afghanistan's trade with Pakistan has fallen by 26 percent.
Statistics from the Chamber of Commerce and Investment show that in the current solar year, Afghanistan's trade with Central Asian countries (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan) has increased, but apparently this trade with Pakistan has decreased.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry says Afghanistan has exported $ 33 million worth of exports to three Central Asian countries this year.
"Our imports from Central Asia this year have been almost over two billion dollars," said Mohammad Younis Momand, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce announces a decline in trade between the two countries. "There are several factors," said Naqibullah Safi, head of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce. "One is that there are many problems in the transfer of materials in ports, and the second is that there are a number of barriers to trade in Pakistan's banking system, which has led to a decline in exports to Afghanistan."
However, the Ministry of Finance says that customs revenues have increased in the north of the country. Ahmad Wali Haqmal, a spokesman for the Ministry of Finance, said: "Since the arrival of the Islamic Emirate, more than 8,000 vehicles have traveled from Central Asia to South Asia and from South Asia to Central Asia through Afghanistan, which is a huge income for us. had."
