Afghanistan And Tajikistan Signed Electricity Import Agreement

Breshna Company of Afghanistan and Electricity Company of Tajikistan signed an import document in 2022.

In a statement issued yesterday (27 december), Breshna said that a contract had been signed between Hafiz Mohammad, the company's chief executive, and Ismailzadeh, the chairman of Bargh Tajik.

It has not yet been announced how much electricity will be imported from Tajikistan to Afghanistan next year under a new contract signed in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.

Breshna also said in a statement that a power transmission agreement would be signed with Uzbekistan.

Company officials in Tashkent are in talks with Uzbek officials, the statement said.

Afghanistan imports most of its electricity from the two Central Asian countries.
