Reduction Of Uzbek Electricity Imports To Afghanistan: Breshna

Afghanistan's Breshnai Company announced on Wednesday (December 29th) that they seen a 50 percent reduction in Uzbekistan's imported electricity to Afghanistan.

The company added that the reason is a technical reduction and that efforts are being made to resolve the issue soon

This technical problem has affected electricity supply to 15 provinces, including the capital Kabul

Afghanistan imports 70% of its electricity from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran

With the onset of winter, electricity shortages have increased in most provinces, including Kabul
