Herat Exports Increase By 30% Last Year Despite Coronavirus Challenges

The Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) said that in 2020, despite the spread of the coronavirus, exports of goods from the province increased by 30% compared to the previous year.

Saffron, raisins, green cumin, watermelon seeds, lead, carpets, and Cashmere goat wool are the main items being exported from Herat province.

In last solar year, around 64 thousand (metric) tons of agriculture and industrial products worth $76 million were exported to several countries in the province, according to the figures provided by the chamber of commerce.
