Taliban: Imported Diesel Fuel Must Be Filtered Before Being Marketed
The Taliban chief minister says diesel fuel imported from Iran to Afghanistan must first be filtered and then marketed.
The issue was discussed at an economic meeting on Tuesday (February 8th) chaired by Taliban Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani.
The Taliban chief minister said in a statement that most of the 1,600 tankers selling diesel imported from Iran were substandard.
Iran announced last month that it would export oil and gas to Afghanistan for three months under an agreement.
