The Turkmen delegation, led by the country's foreign minister, who visited Kabul on Saturday (October 30th), said it would spend another $ 5 billion to complete the TAPI project.

Turkmen Foreign Minister Arshid Muradov met with Mullah Mohammad Yaqub Akhand, acting head of the Taliban's defense ministry, to discuss further security at the two countries' borders, and in particular the security of the TAPI project.

Taliban officials say they are working to ensure the security of infrastructure and economic projects between the two countries, and now more than ever, these projects are being implemented.

Amir Khan Mottaqi, the Taliban's acting foreign minister, told a news conference with Turkmen officials that there were no security problems at the 945-kilometer border between the two countries.

Mr Radmanesh added: "If the Taliban is not universally recognized, the security situation in Afghanistan will not be adequately addressed. "It should be done and the ultimate goal of this project should not be met."

Turkmenistan has so far spent $ 1 billion on the TAPI project. The TAPI pipeline is set to transport Turkmen natural gas from the Galkinish region, the country's largest gas source, through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India.
