An Agricultural Canal Was Built In Nangarhar With The Financial Support Of The United Nations Development Program
The local officials of the Islamic Emirate in Nangarhar say that an agricultural irrigation canal has been built in this province with the financial support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Aminullah Sharif, head of the economy of the Islamic Emirate in Nangarhar, said on Tuesday, May 30, that this canal was built in the Rudat district of Nangarhar and was used after its opening.
According to Mr. Sharif, this agricultural canal is 870 meters long and costs 83 thousand US dollars.
It is said that the construction work of this canal with a depth of one meter, a width of 1.5 meters, and 23 water distribution gates was completed in 4 months.
It is said that with the construction of this canal, thousands of acres of agricultural land were irrigated.
With the implementation of the mentioned project, work has been provided for tens of thousands of people.
Not long ago, the construction of an agricultural canal was opened with the support of this organization in Qarghaei district of Laghman province.
