Construction Of The Pashdan Dam In Herat Province Nearing Completion
Mawlawi Hayatullah Mahajer Farahi, the Deputy Governor of Herat, says that the construction of the Pashdan Dam will soon commence.
During a trip to the capital, he met with the acting Minister of Energy and Water and requested the initiation of work on the Herat Pashdan Dam.
The Herat Governor's Media Office, citing the Deputy Governor, stated that construction of the Pashdan Dam will begin in the near future.
According to the newsletter, "The commencement of work on the Pashdan Dam will provide employment opportunities for many residents of Herat."
The Pashdan Dam is one of the crucial water dams located in the Karkh district, a few kilometers from the city of Herat.
With the collapse of the republican regime, construction of this dam remained unfinished, and now, after two and a half years, local authorities in Herat are announcing its resumption.
Upon completion of this dam, agricultural opportunities will be provided for thousands of families in the Karkh district and even parts of the Angil district.
