The World Bank Has Provided Nearly $ 800 Million To Afghans In Need

Date: Jun 07, 2022, 14:15

The deputy Taliban spokesman said the aid should be used in coordination with the Taliban.

The Afghanistan Reconstruction Fund and the World Bank have allocated nearly $ 800 million to help those in need in Afghanistan.

The money is expected to be spent on food, livelihood and emergency health projects, as the Afghanistan Reconstruction Fund and the World Bank approved three projects worth more than $ 790 million.

"Nearly 150,000 women will be trained in agriculture and nutrition, and the project will strengthen the link between farmers and women engaged in gardening and local markets to facilitate the sale of wheat, vegetables and legumes."

The aid will be distributed by aid agencies in Afghanistan without being made available to the Taliban.
