Turkmenistan Sent 125 Tons Of Humanitarian Aid To Afghanistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has said that this humanitarian action is based on the humanitarian principles and customs of the Turkmen people and the continuous activities of the Turkmen government to support Afghanistan and develop friendly relations between the people of the two countries.

The Ministry of Disaster Management has written on its Twitter page that Turkmenistan has helped Afghanistan with 62 tons of food and non-food items and medicine, the total value of which is one million dollars.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announced in a statement that this aid shipment includes medicine, medical equipment, food and textile products.

 

In the framework of this humanitarian action, a group of medical staff from the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan has been sent to provide medical and counseling assistance in the maternity hospital that Turkmenistan built in 2016 in Turgandi, Herat.

 

According to this ministry, these aids were handed over to the government ministry for handling accidents yesterday (Saturday, 13 May) in Aqina port.
