Date: Nov 24, 2021, 13:08

According to the Taliban statement, 698 metric tons of dried fruit have been exported out of Afghanistan in the last two weeks of this year (1400).

According to Ahmadullah Wasiq, the Taliban's deputy spokesman, out of a total of 698 metric tons of dried fruit exported to these countries, 585 metric tons are raisins.

The deputy spokesman for the Taliban added that Afghanistan's exports were now higher than ever. He called the export of this amount of dried fruit outside Afghanistan an important step for the country's economic growth.

Meanwhile, UN officials have recently reported that Afghanistan's banking system could collapse in the coming months if the necessary support is not provided to the Afghan banking system.

The UNDP report says the consequences of a possible collapse of Afghanistan's banking system will be great. "The economic cost of the collapse of the banking system and its consequent negative social impact will be enormous," the report said.
