20 Thousand Tons Of Wheat; Sending India's First Shipment Of Food Aid To Afghanistan

The Indian government announced that it's government has plan to send 20,000 tons of wheat to Afghanistan through the Chabahar port.

The Times of India news agency reported that the Indian government, after sending 40,000 tons of wheat to Afghanistan through the land border through Pakistan, will send another 20,000 tons of grain to Afghanistan through Iran's Chabahar port.

This newspaper reported, quoting Afghan government officials, that the first part of this wheat shipment, which is 2,500 tons, is scheduled to arrive in Herat from Chabahar port this week.

This is the first shipment of food aid that India is sending to Afghanistan this year.
