Economic Crisis Hits Afghanistan's Private Sector: World Bank
The World Bank reports that the political crisis in Afghanistan has severely damaged the country's private sector.
The World Bank released the results of a survey on the Afghan private sector on Thursday (April 7th).
In the survey, one of the three interviewees said he had temporarily stopped doing business after the August upheaval. But others have said they will continue their activities.
Some of traders have also said that due to declining demand, they have been forced to reorganize their businesses.
Many survey participants said that production services had been reduced and that they had been forced to reduce their activities and investments and lay off their employees.
