Members Of The National Money Exchangers Council Protested Joe Biden's Decision
Members of the National Council of Money Changers and Monetary Services of Afghanistan protested against the recent decision of US President Joe Biden.
Demonstrators chanted slogans in front of the United Nations Assistance Mission (UNAMA) office in Kabul, stressing that the US President should not pay the Afghan people's compensation to the victims of 9/11.
"The protests started from the exchange offices to the offices of the United Nations and the Qatari embassy, which supports the interests of the United States. "The original will be returned to Afghanistan Bank."
The National Council of Money Changers and Monetary Services of Afghanistan has issued a five-article resolution calling on the United Nations, the World Bank and various international bodies to pay attention to the return of money to the Afghan people.
Shafiq and Yusuf, two protesting money changers, said: "Today the sarai shahzada market gate is closed. We are all gathered and we want to reconsider the decision of the American president, no one should be given Afghan money."
"All the people are gathered here and it is possible that the protest will continue to the UN office."
According to the US President's decision, of the $ 7 billion released to Afghanistan, half should go to the families of the 9/11 victims and the other half to humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
