NASA is seeking four volunteers to live in a simulated Mars habitat for one year. The organization is looking for healthy adults with valid scientific credentials to collaborate with them. The mission, called "Analog Exploration of Health and Crew Performance," will begin in the spring of 2025. Applicants must be U.S. citizens between the ages of 30 and 55, non-smokers, physically fit, have basic cooking skills, and be willing to engage in adventurous and meaningful experiences. They should also have a strong interest in collaborating with NASA to prepare for the first human journey to Mars.
