Resumption Of Khaf-Iran Railway Project
Head of Taliban Railway Administration Bakhtur Rehman Sharafat travels to Tehran to discuss Khaf-Iran railway
Construction of the Khaf-Herat railway was largely completed during the previous Afghan government, but work on the project was halted after the Taliban regained power.
Iran has promised that the railway will reach Herat airport.
During a meeting with Mr. Sharafat, Iranian officials pledged to begin and complete the project very soon.
This railway connects the city of Khaf in Iran with Herat province in western Afghanistan.
