Taliban Announced The Kajaki Power Dam Will Be Active Very Soon
The Taliban have announced that Kajaki power plant will be active in the near future
Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi spoke at a meeting with Turkish businessmen and investors.
The Turkish company that is carrying out the reconstruction of this dam has said that the work of this project is being completed.
The first phase of the project, which includes a new power plant and the installation of turbines, is 92 percent complete and will generate 33 megawatts of electricity next March.
After April, the plant's three small turbines will have a capacity of 100 megawatts of electricity.
With the Taliban taking control of the country, major reconstruction projects have stalled, and if the reconstruction of the Kajaki Dam is completed, it will be the first major project to be completed under Taliban rule.
