The Economic Crisis And The Malnutrition Of 3.4 Million Children Under The Age Of 5 In Afghanistan

Taliban Government Ministry of Public Health: 3.4 million children under the age of five in Afghanistan are malnourished.

Javid Hajir, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health, said: "A total of 3.4 million children, 1.1 million of whom are severely malnourished and 2.3 million of whom are moderately malnourished, also added that, unfortunately, these statistics are increasing every year."

Javed Hajir, a spokesman for the Taliban Ministry of Public Health, said the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Food Program were working with the ministry.

Meanwhile, a UNICEF official who recently visited Afghanistan said in a series of tweets on Sunday that Afghan children are facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
