Concerns Of Economical Crisis And Major Bank Crisis
Economists say the main reason for the crisis is rising unemployment, lack of money and cuts in international aid.
Some economists and money changers at Sarai Shahzada market say the liquidity crisis in the country is growing and it began before the Taliban take over the country.
Liquidity is the cash assets of the people, which include money, houses, land, cars, and their other items.
According to some reports, the Central Bank of Afghanistan auctioned one thousand five hundred million dollars from June 1 to August 15 this year, which is a very high figure. But some money changers say the former central bank was laundering a maximum of $ 200 million a month.
Haji Zirak, spokesman for the Shahzadeh Money Changers' Union, said: "In the republican system, the central bank used to spend up to eighty million dollars in a week, two hundred million dollars in a month, and even 2400 and 2500 million dollars per year. The government had the control of the market.
After the Taliban take over the country, more than $ 9 billion Afghanistan assets has been locked and the central bank was left with limited monetary reserves. Now that the Afghanistan assets are frozen in foreign banks, the country is facing a lack of liquidity.
